Training week of 6/9

EVERYONE:

  • The training plan is here.

  • Don’t forget to fill out the attendance form.

  • Registration for summer programs: it’s really helpful if y’all can wrap this up. Registration continues to happen via your Craftsbury membership portal.

  • Rollerski equipment rentals (for juniors and U14s): LAST WEEK to do this, please! Also via the membership portal.

JUNIORS:

  • 3000m test: this will conclude our spring testing—phew! It’s 7.5 laps around a track just as fast as your leggies can carry you. We’ll be using the U32 track this year. You can either catch the van at 8:00am sharp from COC, convince us to pick you up along the way (we drive through Hardwick and are happy to stop if there’s a need) or meet us at U32 @ 9:00am. We'll do some easy distance running after and plan to be done at U32 around 11 & be back at COC around noon. Bring a towel and change of clothes.

  • CommRow: we’re again teaming up with our rowing pals to offer junior skiers the opportunity to do our Community Rowing program for a very discounted rate. The first/intro session for juniors is Thursday, June 12, and is free—you just need to sign up a few days in advance on the attendance form. If you want to continue doing CommRow after that, it’s $50 for you (for the remainder of the season) and we’ll send you info on how to register officially.

  • Spring meetings: at this point, if you haven’t done one, reach out to us.

  • Combine results: you can find these on our shared test doc. Good work!! If you see something wonky, it’s because we couldn’t read your handwriting. Remember that tests are a snapshot for you so you have a data point to improve on.

U14s:

  • 3k Sunday: don’t be intimidated—y’all are straight crushing the workouts with the juniors. You can choose to run for time or just put in a good effort for no time. Totally your call.

BIATHLETES:

  • Practice as normal this week for Wednesday U15/U17+ and Tuesday Adults.

  • Race opportunity: Thursday evening June 12th. Running biathlon at Jericho. Info and sign-up here. We have a van option and a discounted entry code for Craftsbury kids.

ADULTS/MASTERS:

  • Bounding poles: y’all are always welcome to borrow bounding poles if needed. We ask that you please take from the piles in the skate shack rather than the clubhouse, as that helps us stay organized and also helps keep some pole tips sharp for winter.

Strength combine in action!
