Training week of 6/2

EVERYONE:

  • The training plan is here.

  • Don’t forget to fill out the attendance form.

  • Registration for summer programs: ack please do it. Registration continues to happen via your Craftsbury membership portal.

  • Rollerski equipment rentals (for juniors and U14s): also ack, please do it.

JUNIORS:

  • Mellower training week this week. Soak in some downtime.

  • Strength combine: this is our strength test! Don’t be scared of it. It’s a benchmark. You don’t need to bring anything special (just standard workout clothes and sneakers) or prepare in any particular way. See the instructions for it here if you want to know how it works/need a refresher.

  • 3000m test next week: on 6/15 on a track somewhere TBD. Then that’s it for spring testing for us. We’ll get data points on you again in the fall so you can see how much you’ve improved over the course of summer training!

  • Spring meetings: at this point, if you haven’t done one, reach out to us.

U14s:

  • Keep it up, y’all! You’ve been doing a great job getting your rollerski legs under you and tagging along for some of the junior workouts.

BIATHLETES:

  • Practice as normal this week for Wednesday U15/U17+ and Tuesday Adults.

  • Race opportunity: Thursday evening June 12th. Running biathlon at Jericho.  Info and sign-up here. We have a van option and a discounted entry code for Craftsbury kids.

ADULTS/MASTERS:

  • Bounding poles: y’all are always welcome to borrow bounding poles if needed. We ask that you please take from the piles in the skate shack rather than the clubhouse, as that helps us stay organized and also helps keep some pole tips sharp for winter.

Everybody loves some chip hill jumps.
