Training week of 2/10

EVERYONE:

  1. Attendance form keep it up, y’all.

  2. It’s the guts of racing season for the junior team. For many of you, that’s not super relevant, but it does mean that junior coaches (in particular Anna, Audrey, and Jake) may not get back to you on emails right away, so please be sure to get messages to the relevant coach groups (i.e., bkl@craftsbury.com, jrskiing@craftsbury.com

JUNIORS:

  1. Congrats on crushing the Qualifier! So proud of y’all. Remember to inform trip leaders + your coaches pronto if you are declining a spot. This makes space for alternates and also makes Anna’s life easier on the administrative front.

  2. RIkert Eastern Cup: is the next and final one! Details are coming together here—please take a look and follow up with coaches if your plans have changed.

  3. Invoicing: if you’ve gone on trips with us or had us wax your skis and are not registered as the full-time junior option, PLEASE check your spam, etc., for invoices from Concrete Foundation. Chasing down payment from y’all sucks up time that would be better spent actually coaching.

  4. Training logs: if you keep one, update it sometime maybe please?

U14s:

  1. Bill’s Blastoff was so much fun for us—hope you had fun, too!

  2. March 1-2 (Sat-Sun): BKL Fest at Quarry Rd. in Waterville, ME (families figure out lodging - lot more info to come on this one later in the season)

BKL:

BIATHLETES:

  1. Bayley-Hazen Biathlon Race, at Craftsbury February 23rd. Novice category is already FULL. Experienced category (suitable for our Jr/U14 biathletes) still has a few spots.

  2. BKL: We have started doing the in-person part of the Basic Rifle Safety course. If you haven’t done the online part yet, you are behind. Catch up here.

  3. JRs/U14s:

Wednesday: yet another HS race = yet another 4:30pm biathlon practice time

  4. Always: Bring hat, dry gloves, and change after ski practice.

  5. Other helpful info: Biathlon race opportunities 2024-25. and Club Kick Off Meeting Notes.
