Results: Autumn Evening XC Race #3

Wave 1 racers take to their socially distanced cone starting corrals just before the start of tonight’s Autumn Evening XC Race.

Racers charged off the line with grit and grace in tonight’s Autumn Evening XC Race. In this third race of the community series, runners returned to Course B for singletrack, ski trail, and a grueling climb up the S-Curves in the final mile. Adrian Owen of Team Sterling took the overall win in a time of 23:53, followed by teammate Antonia Cristofaro in 26:33. With fellow Sterling runner Corey Binks taking fourth in 27:13, Team Sterling ran away with the top spot in the team race this week.

Eloise Girard took third in the overall race in 26:49, breaking up the Sterling sweep and leading Team Singletrack Shredders to a second place finish in the team race. Teammates Hannah Dreissigacker and Sarah Keener ran to fourth (tie) and sixth place finishes in times of 27:13 and 27:26, respectively. It was a tight finish tonight, with Erin Magoon of Team Feed the Dream finishing just behind for seventh place in 27:33. Team Feed the Dream ran to a strong third place finish, with Sean Mack and Caroline Lawlor rounding out their team score. Colin Kurtz and Josef Kurtz of Team One Look Farmers also had a close finish, charging down the final stretch to claim an impressive time of 28:15 (another tie).
