Masters Biathlon Programming

With our newest range now operational, we are excited to announce new biathlon programming for masters' athletes.

Novice:
Our novice masters' biathlon program is geared toward athletes with little to no biathlon experience interested in getting started in this fun and challenging sport. The program will meet twice a week for 30 to 45 minutes sessions, following our Thursday and Sunday masters’ ski practices. We will focus on the basics of rifle safety and marksmanship, in support of developing biathlon specific shooting skills. Practice will be run by biathlon coach Ethan Dreissigacker, with guest helpers. Participants should be prepared to ski or run depending on the conditions, though physical training is not the focus here. This also means to dress warmly, as you won’t be moving as much as when you are out for a ski! Rifle, ammunition, and coaching are provided with the $200 fee. Craftsbury membership is required. Practice will be Sundays 10:00-10:45am, and Thursdays 4:30-5:00pm. More details here and registration here

Experienced:
For masters with significant previous biathlon experience and their own equipment and ammunition, we are developing several offerings for you, all requiring a Craftsbury membership. First, a monthly shooting clinic, with dates and times TBA. Second, the opportunity to take the Range Certification class to be able to use the range outside of masters program time during weekly pre-set range time windows for range use (TBA) for $5/session.

Please reach out to Ethan at biathlon@craftsbury.com with any questions.
